Ms. Kathy Shi (Hua) brings her vision of giving the essences of Chinese and Western education to children. With over twenty years of experience in education, Ms. Shi and BIBS are committed to integrating China's education with Western education in supportive and stimulating environments.

Ms Lim was a Senior Consultant for the Centre for School Excellence, Ministry of Education, Singapore. Before her appointment as a Senior Consultant, Ms Lim had been a Principal for 18 years, serving different types of schools in Singapore to prepare students for the next level of education whether this be the junior colleges or polytechnics to equipping students for admission to the universities.  She was a Steward Principal and mentored principals before they took on their first postings. In the last school she ran, School of the Arts Singapore, the school offered the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme and direct admission to specialised institutes.

Mr Wong’s teaching is centred around active inquiry-based and personalised learning. He believes that students should understand what they learn, they should own and drivetheir own learning. He asks students guiding questions and gets them to figure things out and then asks them to share their thoughts. Instead of asking students to memorise facts/model answers and regurgitate them during exams, he stresses on the importance of true understanding and the ability to make connections between different topics within the subject and see the bigger picture. 

Mr. Shaikh Omar graduated from Northern Illinois University in December 2013 with a Bachelor’s in Computational Mathematics. In 2014 he relocated to Beijing to teach Mathematics. Between 2015 to 2020 he taught AP AB and BC Calculus, Pre-Calculus, and Algebra at Beijing Royal School (BRS) and in 2015 to 2016 he helped develop their mobile learning program. In 2020 he taught middle school Mathematics and high school Mathematics at Beijing Haidian Foreign Language School (BJFLS). During that same year, he created and lead a club based around Dungeon and Dragons in order to help promote students using creative storytelling and probability. 

Bryan holds an M.Ed. in Education from Flinders University and an M.S. in Computer Science & Engineering from the University at Buffalo, SUNY. He teaches IB and AP Computer Science and serves as the school’s AP Coordinator. He also coaches students for computer science and computational thinking competitions, supporting them in developing problem-solving, programming, and project skills. In addition, he has experience advising MUN and coaching HOSA. He is passionate about technology, computational thinking, and helping students turn ideas into meaningful projects.

8 years of teaching and administrative experience in IB World Schools. 

He has served as MYP and DP Humanities Teacher, Individuals and Societies Subject Learning Leader, MYP Coordinator, and Middle School Head of Pastoral. He excels in inquiry learning MYP Curriculum Development, IB school accreditation, AI integration into pedagogy, and restorative approaches to discipline.

He has prepared MYP programs for initial accreditation and has consulted new IB schools through the Erasmus Experts program in Central Europe.

With over 20 years of specialized expertise supporting students’ post-secondary success, Patsy seeks to bring a strategic and holistic approach to college and career guidance. Her heartbeat is helping young people navigate their pathways in life, as they find meaning and purpose in what they do. She has helped establish and played key roles in counseling offices at Singapore’s top institutions—including School of the Arts (SOTA), Raffles Institution, and Hwa Chong Institution—empowering generations of graduates to secure placements at top universities around the world. At BIBS, Patsy will lead the design and delivery of comprehensive counseling programs for our diverse IB and AP learners, from personalized admissions advising to application workshops for students seeking US, UK, local, and overseas options.

Ms. Whitney earned her bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University and her master's from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She brings nearly twenty years of diverse professional experience across China and the United States, moving from a corporate management role in Fortune 500 companies to a deep dedication to the field of education. As a university counselor, Ms. Whitney combines cross-cultural understanding with sharp industry insights to offer students unique perspectives, helping them broaden their horizons and shape their personal growth journeys.
